This Privacy Policy describes how Samuel O'Regan ("we", "us", "the Operator") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use Monster Hunt ("the Game", "the Service").

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information from Discord

When you use the Service through Discord, we collect:

• Discord User ID: Your unique Discord identifier
• Discord Username: Your current Discord display name
• Discord Server/Guild ID: The servers where you play
• Discord Channel ID: Channels where game activity occurs

1.2 Gameplay Data

We collect data related to your in-game activities:

• Monsters caught, bred, traded, and sacrificed
• In-game currency balances (Essence, Resonance)
• Buildings and settlement progress
• Achievements and statistics
• Command usage and interactions

1.3 Purchase Information

If you make purchases:

• Transaction records and purchase history
• We do not store payment card details; these are handled securely by our payment processor

1.4 Settlement Data

When the Monster Hunt bot is added to a Discord server (creating a "Settlement"), we collect:

• Server/Guild ID: The unique Discord server identifier
• Server Name: The Discord server's display name
• Server Icon: The Discord server's icon image URL
• Member Count: The approximate number of members in the server
• Owner ID: The Discord User ID of the server owner
• Registration Date: When the bot was first added to the server
• Ban Status: Whether the Settlement is banned and associated ban details

We also track Settlement activity including:

• Users who play within each Settlement
• First and last activity timestamps per user per Settlement
• Aggregate gameplay statistics for the Settlement

Retention: Settlement records are retained even after the bot leaves a server for historical analysis and abuse prevention purposes.

1.5 Technical Data

We may collect:

• Timestamps of your activities
• Error logs for troubleshooting

We do not collect:

• IP addresses
• Device information
• Location data
• Personal information beyond Discord profile data

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide and operate the Game
• Track your progress, inventory, and achievements
• Process transactions and purchases
• Enforce our Terms of Service
• Prevent cheating and abuse
• Improve and balance the Game
• Communicate important updates
• Respond to support requests
• Manage Settlement registrations
• Identify and ban abusive Settlements

3. Data Storage and Security

3.1 Storage

Your data is stored on secure servers. We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information.

3.2 Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you request deletion, we will remove your data within a reasonable timeframe, subject to the exceptions in Section 5.

4. Third-Party Services

4.1 Discord

The Service operates through Discord. Your use of Discord is subject to Discord's Privacy Policy. We receive limited profile information from Discord as described above.

4.2 Hosting Providers

Our servers are hosted by third-party providers who may process data on our behalf under appropriate data protection agreements.

4.3 Analytics

We use self-hosted analytics (Prometheus/Grafana) for internal monitoring. We do not use third-party analytics services like Google Analytics.

4.4 Payment Processors

If you make purchases, your payment information is handled by our payment processor. We do not have access to your full payment card details.

5. Data Deletion

5.1 Your Rights

You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at oresam@tuta.com.

5.2 Exceptions

Upon deletion request, we will remove your personal data, with the following exceptions:

• Abuse Prevention: We may retain minimal data to prevent banned users from evading restrictions
• Legal Obligations: We may retain data as required by law
• Anonymized Data: We may retain anonymized, aggregated data for analytics
• Settlement Records: Settlement registration and historical activity data is retained for abuse prevention and analytics purposes, even after the bot leaves a server or upon user request

5.3 Processing Time

Deletion requests will be processed within 30 days.

6. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately.

7. International Users

The Service is operated from South Africa. If you access the Service from outside South Africa, your information may be transferred to and processed in South Africa. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights including:

• Access: Request a copy of your data
• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data
• Deletion: Request deletion of your data (subject to exceptions)
• Portability: Request your data in a portable format
