Community Guidelines

Welcome to the Monster Hunt community! These guidelines establish the standards of behavior expected from all players. By participating in our community, you agree to follow these rules.

1. Age Requirements

1.1 Minimum Age

You must be at least 13 years of age to participate in Monster Hunt, in accordance with Discord's Terms of Service.

1.2 Parental Responsibility

If you are under 18, your parent or guardian is responsible for supervising your participation in the community.

2. Respect and Conduct

2.1 Treat Others with Respect

• Be kind and respectful to all community members
• No harassment, bullying, threats, or intimidation
• No discrimination based on race, gender, sexuality, religion, nationality, or any other characteristic
• Respect personal boundaries and privacy

2.2 Content Standards

Monster Hunt maintains a teen-appropriate environment:

• Mild language is permitted, but excessive profanity is discouraged
• No explicit, sexual, or adult content
• No graphic violence or gore beyond game context
• No content promoting self-harm, violence, or illegal activities
• Monster nicknames and profile content must be appropriate

2.3 Constructive Communication

• Engage in constructive discussions
• Disagree respectfully; personal attacks are not permitted
• Avoid excessive negativity or toxicity
• Listen to others and consider different perspectives

3. Discord Server Rules

3.1 Channel Usage

• Use channels for their intended purpose
• Keep discussions generally on-topic, though some flexibility is allowed
• Move extended off-topic conversations to appropriate channels

3.2 Spam and Self-Promotion

• No spam, excessive caps, or message flooding
• No unauthorized advertising or self-promotion
• No unsolicited direct messages to other users
• Limit use of @mentions to avoid disturbing others

3.3 Impersonation

• Do not impersonate staff, moderators, or other players
• Do not pretend to represent Monster Hunt officially
• Keep your identity authentic

4. Fair Play and Game Integrity

4.1 No Cheating or Exploits

• Do not use bots, scripts, automation software, or hacks
• Do not exploit bugs or glitches for personal gain
• Play the game as intended

4.2 Bug Reporting Requirement

If you discover a bug or exploit:

• You must report it immediately to the development team
• Do not share exploit information with other players
• Do not abuse the exploit, even "just once"
• Bug Bounty: Responsible reporters receive 10-50 Gems based on severity

4.3 Real-Money Trading (RMT) Prohibited

• Do not buy, sell, or trade in-game items for real money
• Do not advertise RMT services
• All purchases must go through the official Monster Hunt Store
• RMT violations result in permanent bans

4.4 No Scamming

• Honor all trade agreements
• Do not misrepresent items or their value
• Do not conduct fake giveaways
• Do not phish for account information

5. Account Rules

5.1 One Account Per Person

• Each player may have only one account
• Multi-accounting (alt accounts) to gain unfair advantages is prohibited
• Sharing accounts is not permitted and done at your own risk
• You may create multiple characters within your account via the Monster Hunt Store

5.2 Account Security

• You are responsible for your account's security
• Do not share your Discord credentials
• We will never ask for your password

6. Content Creation

6.1 Streamers and Content Creators

Content creators are welcome to stream and create videos about Monster Hunt:

• You may monetize your content
• Accurately represent the game and community
• Do not spread misinformation about game mechanics or staff
• Follow all other community guidelines while streaming

6.2 Fan Content

• Fan art and creative content is encouraged
• Do not claim official affiliation unless authorized
• Credit others when using their work

7. Enforcement

7.1 Reporting Violations

• Report rule violations to moderators or staff
• Provide evidence when possible (screenshots, timestamps)
• Do not publicly call out violators; let staff handle it
• False reports made in bad faith may result in action against the reporter

7.2 Moderation Actions

Moderators may take the following actions based on violation severity:

• Warning: Notification of rule violation
• Mute: Temporary restriction from chat
• Kick: Removal from Discord server (may rejoin)
• Ban: Permanent removal from community and game

7.3 Severe Violations

The following result in immediate permanent bans without warning:

• Cheating, hacking, or botting
• Real-money trading
• Serious harassment or threats
• Doxxing or sharing private information
• Illegal content or activities
• Extreme toxicity or hate speech

7.4 Asset Handling on Ban

When accounts are banned:

• Cheating/Exploiting: All in-game assets are permanently forfeited
• Minor violations: Assets may be preserved if the account is later unbanned
• Decisions are made on a case-by-case basis

8. Appeals

8.1 Appeal Process

If you believe your ban was unjustified:

• Contact us at oresam@tuta.com with your Discord username and appeal reason
• Provide any relevant context or evidence
• Appeals are reviewed but there is no guarantee of reversal
• Staff decisions are final

8.2 Appeal Limitations

• Appeals must be submitted within 30 days of the action
• One appeal per action; repeated appeals will be ignored
• Hostile or abusive appeals will not be considered

9. Privacy and Safety

9.1 Protect Your Information

• Do not share personal information publicly
• Be cautious when interacting with strangers
• Report suspicious behavior or potential predators immediately

9.2 No Doxxing

• Do not share others' personal information without consent
• Do not attempt to discover or reveal real identities
• This includes photos, addresses, phone numbers, real names, etc.

10. Changes to Guidelines

We may update these guidelines at any time. Continued participation after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated guidelines. Significant changes will be announced in the Discord server.
